Diseased Graffic Images Forced On Cigarette Packages
“A judge on Monday blocked a federal requirement that would have begun forcing tobacco companies next year to put graphic images including dead and diseased smokers on their cigarette packages.” – Yahoo! News. Even though they are trying to do this to help people quit smoking due to the death of thousands, this new standard won’t be ruled anytime soon since those cigarette companies will likely block this new standard with their lawsuits.
Cigarettes have been a serious problem for human kind for thousands of century no matter what changes or efforts one take to alternate it. Putting graphics of diseased smokers might or might not have any significant affect on people but it would be a good way to start. I remember when I was smoking heavily, looking at the sentence “Cigarettes cause lung cancer and possible death” doesn’t fringe me or give me any significant second thought. Maybe it worked for many but that’s not the case. Putting dead man pictures on the cigarette packs won’t have any real big difference either.
There are many ideas of putting two set of different lungs, one by smokers and a healthy one to help stop smoking problems. The cigarette packs should also including picture of man inhaling smoking through a hole in his throat, a mother smoking and kissing a little child while smoke going through her mouth, a man breathing into an oxygen mask…that’s just an idea.
There are too much money involving within the cigarette industry that makes it too hard to pass any new law. However, I believe that we will see it pass very soon but everything takes time. “The Justice Department argued that the images, coupled with written warnings, were designed to communicate the dangers to youngsters and adults. The FDA declined to comment on the judge’s ruling, and a spokesman for the Justice Department would not say whether it plans to appeal, only that it is reviewing the ruling.” – Yahoo! News.
My personal view of this is that having picture of a dead man doesn’t convey much of a problem for me. I quit cigarette 1 year ago because living in New York with a minimum wage job couldn’t help me afford a $10 pack of Marlboro. I start smoking those cheap nasty cigarette pack which was like $3-$4 from China Town, it was so disgusting that I had to stop. When I was living in Florida, it was only $3.85-$4.25 max so money is definitely a problem. I think if they start charging $10-$20 per pack of cigarette people will eventually quit. But then, I’m sure other problems will arise.
Some people manage to switch to the electric cigarette or green cigarette some say but I’m not sure how these will affect ones’ life as it is not approved by the FDA. Some source say these e cigs do more harm and good since they contain toxic and dangerous substances that we can’t monitor. There is no real proof that these e cigs can help you stop smoking either. There is definitely some good benefits about them but also some bad ones too. The government will not do anything about cigarettes or may legalize the electric cigarettes very soon because there is tons of money to let it go. It’s all about money eventually.

This is a kind of art more popular in Europe or Asia rather than in America. It requires more complexity in drawing and coloring …. it’s beautiful…
Oil painting is an art that use the medium of dry oil to color the picture. Oil painting was started in Asia. Even though the first oil painting was done by some Buddhists in India, it is known that Chinese and Afghan people were doing these oil painting back in the 5th and 9th century. Later in the 15th century, these types of painting became well-known and start moving Westward to other countries in Europe.
They usually use linseed oil for these types of paintings. Linseed oil is made from Flax seed. What these artists do is that they first create a sketch on the canvas with charcoal or thinned paint. Then they use brushes to paint the oil on to the canvas. There are many layers but the one on top should always have more oil than the below layers. Because these layers will crack if the topper layers have less oil than the lower ones.
I once traveled to Asia and simply amazed by these oil painting art. Its beauty stuck me immediately at first sight. I felt in love since then.
Vince Carter – The Greatest Dunker In NBA?
There are many great dunkers in the NBA history including Michael Jordan, Dominic Wilkins, Spud Webb, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Nate Robinson…. Nobody can argue that Michael was the greatest player of all times on all aspects of the game. Kobe Bryant is also up there in the most talented player area. But in my opinion, Vince Carter is the best dunker of all times, simply because of his style and originality of dunking.
Vince Carter can turn almost any lay up situation into a dunking fest. Everytime I watch Vince Carter especially when he was playing for the Raptors, I can’t manage to hold back my enthusiasm. It is such an amazing experience watching Vince Carter light up the whole crowd. He’s not only a great dunker but also a great shooter and buzzer beater as well. Carter is famous for his Wing Mills, 360 Wind Wills dunks (both ways), Alley hoops wind mills and ability to dunk on almost anybody regardless of height.
In the 2000 Olympics game against France, Vince Carter literally jumped over a 7’2 dude and dunk. You will never see that kind of stuff in a real game. Even though some people say ahhh… he’s French and French people don’t play very good basketball but please, 7’3 is very impressive.
Carter trademark dunks was created in the NBA dunking championship back in 2000 when he also won that dunking title as well. Carter shocked the entire court and everybody at home with this arms-inside-the-rim dunk. It was so crazy that it was almost speechless for everyone on the court. Minutes after the dunk, people were still trying to figure it out what happened. Carter said in an interview later that he actually got some bruises on his arm the day after because of that dunk. Nevertheless, it was the best dunk of all times.
Everytime I saw Vincinity dunks, I want to get up and go practice dunking so badly. It inspired me to learn how to dunk a basketball and I’m sure many people got that same inspiration as well. The only set back was that I’m only 5 foot 8 while Vincinity is 6’6, that’s 8 inches difference. Eventhough I can’t dunk crazy dunks like that, I manage to do some simple dunks and I think I can live with it just fine.

Recently Akon and Omega el Fuerte have got together to make a new song call El Producto where in it Akon sings in both English and Spanish. Akon has not only the American famous hiphop singer, has become a worldwide phenomenon. Akon came out with many hits including Sexy Chick ft. David Guetta, Shut It Down ft. Pitbull, Oh Africa, Beautiful ft. Negra Li….and a lot more.
